Great Moments in Human Innovation: Jones’ Bacon Soda

November 5, 2010 at 10:47 pm (Gastro-Nominal, Great Moments in Human Innovation) (, , , , , )

"And then, the angel opened the seal on the 4th scroll and when he did, the world was flooded with some ungodly carbonated beverage..." Rev. 6:18

Not to be outdone by other companies peddling bacon-flavored mayonnaise, bacon-flavored dental floss, bacon-flavored breath mints, or bacon-flavored vodka, the makers of Jones Soda have stepped up and introduced their new Bacon Soda Holiday Pack (Retail price $9.99 for those of you playing along at home…) in conjunction with J & D Foods, makers of Bacon Salt.

Each package includes:

2 Bottles of Jones Bacon Soda
1 Tube of Bacon Lip Balm
1 Package of Bacon Popcorn
1 Package of Bacon Gravy Mix

Yeah, you better run, Wilbur.

I can’t imagine anyone attempting to enjoy all of these items together as that would most likely result in some sort of temporal anomaly in the space-time continuum resulting from excessive bacon-induced, quasi-orgasmic pleasure.  Plus, I imagine you would consume less sodium by eating an entire salt lick.

Jones Soda is no stranger to odd flavors.  In the past they’ve come out with turkey and gravy soda, brussel sprout soda, smoked salmon pate soda, antacid flavored soda, and a flavor called Spider Cider, which was made from the stomach enzymes of the wolf spider.

The question is:  Would you drink Jones Bacon Soda?
