Quick: What's the difference between this guy and Joe Camel? -from thedailywh.at

  • Our first link today is from The Daily What: Janes Family Foods, a Canadian company has introduced a product that makes perfect sense… as long as you don’t actually think about it.  It’s a chicken snack product that is made to be “cooked” in a conventional slotted toaster.  This has obviously prompted me to craft the following recipe:
  1. Toast 2 Chicken Flatjacks
  2. Toast 2 strips Reddi-Bacon
  3. Take one of the Flatjacks and place both strips of bacon on top.
  4. Add a slice of Pepperjack cheese
  5. Add a tablespoon of garlic mayonaisse
  6. Place the second Flatjack on top and press all ingredients together.
  7. Now, take this “sandwich” to the toilet and flush it because that’s disgusting.

A Japanese company, NTT Communications, is currently developing an app for mobile phones that will allow users to take a picture of their food and then have some smarmy-ass computer tell them they’re eating too much.

Obviously, this is a work in progress.  With the world of food as diverse as it is, it will take a significant amount of time for the analytic algorithms or what-have-you to compile enough useful data to tell you just how guilty you should feel about that Breakfast Cake you’re about to eat.

Of course, the app also has to have social network interfacing so that you can brag to all of your friends and family about your intestinal fortitude.  This way, we can all shame each other into anorexia.

The attempt was for a 12-inch, 12.5 oz. pizza eaten in 1 minute, 45 seconds.  The pizza had to be eaten with a knife and fork because no one ever eats pizza by hand.  Kobayashi stated the pizza was too soft.

Here’s video of Kobayashi competing… against a half-ton Kodiak bear.
