The Dalu Rebot Restaurant in Jiang, China opened on December 5th, 2010, representing the culmination of centuries of human innovation as robots replaced many of the wait staff.

The restaurant currently has 6 ‘droids on duty who travel along a predetermined path around the restaurant, delivering drinks, desserts and other dishes.

The brainchild of a technology company, this concept may be expanded if successful.  Now, if they were to dress them up in tight tank-tops and orange booty shorts, we might really have something…

This story has given me an idea for a cybernetic man that transports well-chilled fish eggs in his refrigerated torso.  I call him: The Roe-bot©.
