About Idiocy

Idiocy, to many, is syonymous with stupidity. However, there is another meaning in the root of the word. Like idiomatic or idiosyncratic, idiocy implies a uniqueness and a personalized view independent/ignorant of outside influence- for good or bad.

In other words, all stupid people may be idiots, but not all idiots are stupid.
